ABOUT SOPHIE

I am not here to tell you what to do.

I am here to help you come back to yourself.

Twenty-nine years of practice. And the most important thing I have learned is this: your body is never working against you. It is always doing its best. Every symptom is an attempt to restore balance and harmony.

I am Sophie Fuller. I work with people who have tried the obvious things and still do not feel well. People who have been told everything looks fine, and know that is not the whole story. People who are tired of managing symptoms and want to feel well again.

If that is you, you are in exactly the right place.

My story

I was born to do this work. I have known that for as long as I can remember.

There has always been something in me that wants to sit and actively listen. To hear what a person is carrying. Not to fix them. To support them. And help guide them back to their own wisdom and true inner knowing.

My father taught me from a young age that food was medicine, and later, my mentor and teacher showed me that the body could heal itself naturally, that the wisdom of traditions stretching back thousands of years deserved more respect than we tend to give them. Traditional Chinese medicine, Ayurveda, Western naturopathy. Philosophies that work with the body rather than against it. They made complete sense to me, helping me to heal a number of niggling health issues from early adolescence.

Many years later and 2018 arrived, and brought with it two of the more difficult experiences of my life, arriving almost at once. I will not go into the details here. But I will say this: they broke something open in me that needed breaking open. With my background in psychology, my interest in the human mind and experience, and some work with a therapist, I recognised two things I had somehow managed to get to my forties without truly understanding. How to love myself. And how to fill up my own cup before I tried to fill anyone else's.

That was when the real work began. The emotional and psychological healing I had not known I was missing. Coupled with everything I already knew about nutrition and the body's natural rhythms, I began to develop a much more rounded understanding of what healing actually requires.

In my late teens, going through a very difficult time, I turned inwards. I found something there, an inner presence I can only describe as my connection to something bigger than myself. It kept me from taking my pain out on the world. It made me curious rather than bitter. And it set me on a path I have never once wanted to leave.

I have always had a sensitive system. It is my gift and my challenge. My gift, because it gives me a deep and genuine empathy for what people are struggling with. I can meet people there. It is also my challenge, because I cannot get away with ignoring my own needs. My body has never let me.

I had already trained in life coaching, which had taught me the profound art of active listening. That we all know what we need deep down. That the most powerful thing a practitioner can do is not tell someone what to do, but create the conditions for them to hear what they already know.

That is what I finally allowed myself to become. A whole-person health practitioner. And the work I do now is the work I would have wanted for myself at the hardest points. That is the whole reason I am still here.

How I work

I do not separate the physical from the emotional, the mental from the spiritual.
I work with all of it. Because you cannot separate them without losing the truth.

Every person who comes to me arrives with a story their body has been trying to tell them. Sometimes it shows up as fatigue that sleep does not fix. Sometimes as digestive issues, hormonal shifts, anxiety or a low mood that has no obvious cause. Sometimes it is simply a persistent sense that something is off and has been for a while.

I begin by listening. Not just to the symptoms, but to everything around them. What you eat, yes. But also how you feel when you wake up. What is happening in your relationships and your inner life. What your body has been trying to communicate that you have not quite had the space to hear.

From there, we work together at your pace. I bring 29 years of knowledge across nutrition, emotional health, life coaching and the body's natural rhythms. You bring everything you already know about yourself, which is more than you think. My job is not to hand you a plan and send you on your way. It is to help you understand what is actually going on, and to give you the support, the knowledge and the permission to respond to it.

This is not a quick fix. It is something much more valuable than that. It is a process of coming back to yourself. And in my experience, when people do that, really do that, everything else begins to shift.

Nutrition

Food as information, not restriction. What your body needs to function, feel well and find its natural balance.

Emotional
health

Understanding the thoughts, beliefs and patterns that are keeping you stuck. Compassionate, guided and always at your pace.

Life
coaching

Active listening, open questions and the belief that you already know what you need. My job is to help you hear it.

Natural
rhythms

Working with your body's cycles, seasons and signals rather than against them.

Training & experience

Twenty-nine years of practice does not make me an expert on you. It makes me very good at helping you become one.

I have spent the better part of three decades training and working across nutritional therapy, naturopathy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, emotional health and life coaching. Not because I was collecting qualifications, but because each discipline added something the others could not do alone.

My formal training includes nutritional therapy, naturopathy, life coaching, and studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine. I have worked in clinical practice for 29 years, originally running two successful clinics in Central London, writing for the Sunday Times, and working with clients across a wide range of physical and emotional health concerns.

I do not align myself with any supplement brand. I do not recommend what is fashionable. I recommend what I genuinely believe will help, grounded in decades of clinical experience and my own ongoing personal development.

My knowledge is always growing. I continue to study, to learn and to do my own inner work. Because I believe a practitioner who has stopped being curious has stopped being useful.

Life on the Island

Guernsey is not just where I live. It is where I am most myself.

That connection to the natural world runs through everything I do. The seasons, the tides, the rhythms of island life. They inform how I think about health, about cycles, about the pace at which real change happens.

I am also part of a community here that I genuinely love. I collaborate regularly with practitioners across yoga and Qi Gong, and I am grateful to work alongside people like Jane and Craig whose work complements mine beautifully. Guernsey is small enough that practitioners genuinely support each other and the people who come to us. It feels like a real wellbeing community, and I am proud to be part of it.

If you are based on the island, we can work together in person. If you are further afield, online sessions work beautifully and many of my clients prefer them. Wherever you are, the work is the same.

I grew up in Guernsey, left in my teens, and came back in my early thirties. And when I returned, something settled. I put down roots here, had the last two of my four children on the island, and built a life and a practice that feel completely aligned with who I am.

Something about Guernsey suits the way I work and the way I live. The sea is five minutes away. I swim in it regularly, year round. Not because it is on trend but because it clears my head, grounds me in my body and reminds me, every single day, that there is something much larger than whatever I am carrying.
